This Performance Analysis for Dog Trainers: The 6 Steps to Client Success Workbook, published under The Animal Scientist, is an original practitioner resource I designed to translate the performance analysis frameworks from my Analysis of Performance and Instructional Systems course into an accessible, step-by-step tool built specifically for professional dog trainers. This workbook guides professional dog trainers through a customized process that draws on the SWOT analysis, the Mager & Pipe Model, Gagné's learning hierarchy, and the Kirkpatrick-Phillips evaluation framework to analyze and improve their clients' performance. I selected this artifact because it represents all three pillars of my practice in a single deliverable: the awareness to recognize a genuine gap in the dog training industry's approach to client performance, the intention to synthesize an entire semester of academic frameworks, and the compassion to meet practicing dog trainers exactly where they are — speaking their language, honoring their expertise, and equipping them with tools they can use immediately.
