History of ID&T Timeline

This timeline of the History of Instructional Design and Technology (IDT), created for my Foundations of IDT course, maps the evolution of the field across theoretical frameworks — from Behaviorism and Cognitivism to Constructivism and Connectivism — alongside the technological milestones that shaped how we design learning experiences today. I selected this artifact because it reflects the awareness pillar of my practice. Placing theory and practice within the historical context of the industry informs the evidence-based, learner-centered approach I apply in my work.
