Front End Analysis

This Front-End Analysis, completed for my Analysis of Performance and Instructional Systems course, outlines a systematic plan for investigating skill assessment inconsistencies among Faculty Advisors at the Victoria Stilwell Academy. I applied the ISPI HPT Model and the Mager & Pipe Model to identify the performance gap, explore its root causes, and determine whether a solution was worth pursuing. I selected this artifact because it captures the earliest and most essential step in my design process and embodies the awareness pillar of my practice: identifying the gap in training before pursuing training itself. Completing this analysis taught me that the most powerful thing an instructional designer can offer a client is not a course, but the discipline and expertise to look at a complex human performance problem from every angle before deciding what, if anything, needs to be built.
